The auction drew thousands of bidders and nearly 250 consignors, including many first-time bidders and consignors – welcome!

Corey Maita of Gainesville Coins Joins Teletrade as VP of Business Development

Spectrum Group International, Inc. (SPGZ.pk) subsidiary, Teletrade, America's premier Internet auctioneer of certified coins and currency, announced today that Corey Maita, co-founder of Gainesville Coins, will be joining Teletrade as vice president of business development beginning in November.
Maita's professional career in numismatics began when he was a sophomore at the University of Florida when he and two partners founded Gainesville Coins in Lutz, Fla. Selling primarily on eBay, the company quickly became a power seller ranked in the top one percent of all eBay sellers. From there, Maita and his partners successfully transitioned Gainesville from eBay to their own e-commerce-focused company website and eventually grew the company to accomplish $300 million in annual sales with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.
Throughout his tenure at Gainesville, Maita's responsibilities included head trader and numismatist, head buyer, treasurer, international development, IRA development, the implementation of a gold and silver hedge platform, and the launch of a retail store. He also established international mint distributorships with the Perth Mint and New Zealand Mint. Maita will be relocating from Florida to be based at Teletrade's Irvine, Calif., headquarters.

Due to technological difficulties as a result of Hurricane Irene, Teletrade has opted to cancel Sunday's auction #3126. All coins scheduled to be auctioned in auction #3126 will now be offered in auction #3135 on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Teletrade thanks you for your understanding and is offering free shipping for all purchases in auction #3135.
